8.6 Conveyor belts with diffuse light sensors

The conveyor consists of two sections, 300 mm and 700 mm, which are mounted at an angle of 90°. The
belts are driven by geared motors with a motor controller.
Figure 9: Conveyor belts
Caution
There is a risk of the conveyor belts being pulled in by rotating rollers!
The conveyor belts are activated when there is a bottle at the beginning of the conveyor (short conveyor
belt). This actuates the diffuse light sensor. Two additional diffuse light sensors are attached to the feed
separator and to the end of the conveyor. The message "Bottle present" appears on the separator and the
filling process can be started. At the end of the conveyor, a filled bottle is detected and the conveyor belts
are stopped.

Caution Laser beam
Avoid looking directly into the laser beam.
The guardrails and diffuse light sensors are mechanically mounted for bottles with a height of 60 mm. An
adaptation to bottles with height 25 mm is possible.
