PM189

Log 189 helps Nortel Networks personnel determine the cause for different
switch events. It is generated when one of the following occurs:

an error is detected in the load file during a Switch Manager directed
software upgrade

executable memory during the performace of an IPE RTS operation
an attempt to allocate buffer space in DRAM fails
an attempt to allocate buffer space in SRAM fails
an error is detected in programming a software load into Flash memory
during a Switch Manager directed software upgrade
an error is encountered in attempting to change the designated Flash boot

when an attempt is made to establish a connection to the IPE through its
Ethernet port
Event description
This log will be generated whenever the
Switch Manager modifies the
designated Flash boot load.
This log will be generated when an error
is encountered in attempting to change
the designated Flash boot load.
This log will be generated when an error
is detected in the load file during a
Switch Manager directed software
upgrade.
This log will be generated when an error
is detected in transferring a software
load from Flash memory to executable
memory during the performance of an
IPE RTS operation.
This log will be generated when an
attempt to write to DRAM fails.
This log will be generated when an
attempt to write/read from SRAM fails.
