Display on -VAS 5051B- :
– From menu -1-, select function "011 - Measured values" and
activate by pressing
Display on -VAS 5051B- :
1 - Enter display group
– Using keypad -1- press buttons
and confirm entry by pressing
Display on -VAS 5051B- :
– Read off gear oil temperature in display zone -1-.
• Specification at commencement of test: Not higher than 30 °
C, otherwise allow gearbox to cool down.
Checking gear oil level
• Tightening torques ⇒ page 66
– Release fasteners -1 ... 4- and remove centre noise insulation.
– Press and hold brake pedal.
– With brake pedal depressed, select all gear positions "P, R, N,
D, S" one after the other at idling speed, maintaining each po‐
sition for at least 3 seconds.
– Place used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- be‐
low gearbox.
