Types of initialization

This product has the following 2 initialization types.
Item
Setting initialization function
Script initialization function
Setting initialization function
Initialize the user drive, parameters, file registers, and event history of the VxWorks part.
Use the setting initialization function in the following cases.
• The username/password configured to the VxWorks part of this product has been forgotten
• It is not possible to connect to this product (incorrect settings were written to the service settings, etc.)
■Post-initialization status
This product is in the following state when it was initialized by the setting initialization function.

*1 The content of the CC-Link IE field network parameters written to this product are the default parameters, but they are not applied in the
operation of the CC-Link IE field network function. (Operation uses the settings before the setting initialization function is run. )To apply
the parameter file content to the operation of the CC-Link IE field network function, write the CC-Link IE field network parameters to this
product, and then perform operations to apply the parameters.
Script initialization function
Execute when an out-of-control user program must be stopped or when errors in a script file prevent this product from starting.
The script file stored on the VxWorks part of this product is renamed, so that the script file does not start when the power
supply of this product is turned ON.
When the script initialization function is used, an empty script file named 'STARTUP.CMD' that does not process the user drive
is created. The following comment is listed in the created script file.

■Operation according to file availability
The following table shows the operation of the script initialization function depending on the availability of the script files
'STARTUP.CMD' or 'STARTUP.BAK'.

Precautions
When the script initialization function is used when 'STARTUP.BAK' file is available, the 'STARTUP.BAK' file is overwritten or
deleted. To protect the existing 'STARTUP.BAK', save it to another area.

Description
All files stored on the user drive, including user programs and script files, are deleted.
The default parameters are configured.
The values of the file registers are all cleared. (Reset to '0'.)
The event history is initialized.

'STARTUP.CMD' so that the script file does not start when the power supply of this
product is turned ON.
