Wiring procedure
The following shows the procedure for wiring Ethernet cables.
■Connection of Ethernet cables
1.
While paying attention to the connector orientation, insert the Ethernet cable connector into the Ethernet connector of
this product until a click is heard.
2.
Lightly pull on the Ethernet cable to check that it is properly connected.
3.
Make sure that the SPEED LED of the connected connector is lit green.
• The time required from when an Ethernet cable is connected to when the SPEED LED turns ON may vary.
Normally, it turns ON in a few seconds. However, it may take longer because the linking-up processing is
repeated due to the device condition on the line.
• When the SPEED LED does not turn ON, check if the connected Ethernet cable has any failure. Replacing
the cable may solve this problem.
• If Ethernet devices are connected to a network that has a communications rate of 10 Mbps, the SPEED
LED will turn OFF. Check communications status using PING or similar tools.
■Removal of Ethernet cables
Press and hold the clip on the Ethernet cable connector, and pull it out.
