Sicherheitsmaßnahmen am
Aufstellort
Das Gerät darf nur in medizinisch genutzten
Räumen eingesetzt werden, die nach den natio-
nal gültigen Vorschriften installiert sind.
Es ist nicht für den Betrieb in explosionsgefähr-
deten Bereichen bestimmt. Dies bedeutet u. a.:
Bei Verwendung von leicht brennbaren und
explosionsfähigen Inhalations-Anästhesiemitteln
und deren Gemischen darf das Gerät nicht in
der dargestellten Gefahrenzone betrieben wer-
den. Solche Mittel sind zum Beispiel Ether pro
narcosi (Diethylether, Cyclopropan) sowie brenn-
bare, leicht verdampfbare Hautreinigungs- und
Hautdesinfektionsmittel, die eine explosionsfähi-
ge Atmosphäre bilden können (z. B. Waschether,
Ether petrolei).
Das Gerät ist mit einer Steckvorrichtung für den
Potentialausgleich ausgerüstet. Diese nach
Maßgabe der national gültigen Vorschriften
anschließen.
Sicherheitsmaßnahmen beim
Einsatz des Systems
Der Anwender hat sich vor der Anwendung des
Gerätes von der Funktionssicherheit und dem
ordnungsgemäßen Zustand des Gerätes zu
überzeugen.
Während der Behandlung mit dem
AUTOCON ® II 400 muss der Patient mit der übli-
chen medizinischen Sorgfalt behandelt und
beobachtet werden. Dies schließt die Verlaufs-
kontrolle des Behandlungsvorgangs, die Über-
wachung der Vitalwerte und der Narkose mit ein.
Jeder Behandlungsvorgang darf nur durchge-
führt werden, wenn die visuelle Beobachtung
der Gerätewirkung sichergestellt ist.
Safety instructions
Safety precautions at the site
of installation
The unit may only be used in medical rooms the
installations of which conform to applicable
national regulations.
It is not intended for use in hazardous zones.
This means, for example, that when using easily
combustible and explosive inhalation anesthetics
or mixtures of these, the unit must not be operat-
ed inside the demarcated hazard zone.
Examples of such substances are: anesthetic
ether (diethyl ether, cyclopropane) as well as
combustible, volatile skin cleansers and skin dis-
infectants which may create an explosive atmos-
phere (e.g. detergent ether, petroleum ether).
The unit is equipped with a connector for attach-
ing a ground line. It should be connected in
accordance with national regulations.
Safety precautions when
operating the system
It is the user's responsibility to make sure the
unit is safe and operates properly before using
it.
During treatment with the AUTOCON ® II 400 the
patient must be treated and kept under observa-
tion with the usual medical care. This includes
keeping a check on the progress of treatment,
as well as monitoring the vital levels and the
anesthetic.
Any treatment may only be performed if visual
observation of the action of the unit is ensured.

El sistema sólo podrá ser utilizado en espacios
médicos si éstos han sido instalados de acuerdo
con las normas nacionales de seguridad vigen-
tes.
El mismo no está previsto para ser utilizado en
zonas expuestas a posibles explosiones. Esto
significa, entre otras cosas: Si se emplean pro-
ductos anestésicos para inhalación fácilmente
inflamables y explosivos o sus mezclas, no
podrá utilizarse el sistema en las zonas califica-
das como peligrosas por este motivo. Algunos
de estos productos son, p. ej., éter para narcosis
(éter dietílico, ciclopropano), así como productos
de limpieza y desinfección de la piel inflamables,
fácilmente volátiles que pueden crear una atmós-
fera explosiva (p. ej., éter de lavado, éter de
petróleo).
El aparato dispone de una conexión equipoten-
cial. Dicha conexión deberá efectuarse de
acuerdo con las normativas legales nacionales
en vigor.
Medidas de seguridad al
emplear el sistema
Antes de utilizar el sistema, el usuario debe cer-
ciorarse de la seguridad de funcionamiento y
del buen estado del aparato.
Durante el tratamiento con el AUTOCON ®
el paciente debe ser tratado y observado con los
cuidados médicos habituales. Esto incluye los
controles de desarrollo del procedimiento de tra-
tamiento y la vigilancia de los valores vitales y
anestésicos.
Cada procedimiento de tratamiento sólo podrá
ser llevado a cabo si está garantizado el control
visual de los efectos del aparato.
