The first byte of the Event Description is used to indicate the type of event that
occurred, such as the crossing of a threshold or the removal of a device.
* The PHP sensors will have an Event Description beginning with either E6 or E7
with an offset of 00 or 05 (hexadecimal view). This may be translated as follows:
