About the Interface Panel
The interface panel is located on the back right of the printer.
Serial port—This is an RS-232C serial
interface.
SCSI—Up to 3 optional SCSI devices are
allowed.
Security key—This is for the optional
security key.
Ethernet port—Using a twisted-pair
(RJ45) Ethernet cable, connect the Ether-
net port on the printer to a 10BaseT/
100BaseTX network connection.
Optional interface—Optional interfaces
such as emulations connect here.
Parallel port—Using a Centronics IEEE
1284 bidirectional parallel cable, connect
the parallel port on the printer to the par-
allel port on your computer.
Software Utilities CD-ROM
Regional Settings
The Software Utilities CD-ROM
checks your computer's Regional
Settings and automatically starts
up in the language that you
selected if it is supported. In a
Windows environment, you may
change the opening language by
changing the computer's Regional
Settings (double-click on the My
Computer icon, then on Control
Panel, then on Regional Settings).
