Disassembly procedures

Explosions could result in death or serious injury.
Do not remove the instrument cover in explosive atmospheres when the circuit is live.

Remove from service
Follow these steps:
Procedure
1. Follow all plant safety rules and procedures.
2. Power down device.
3. Isolate and vent the process from the transmitter before removing the transmitter
4. Remove all electrical leads and disconnect conduit.
5. Remove the transmitter from the process connection.
6. Do not scratch, puncture, or depress the isolating diaphragms.

The Rosemount 3051C Transmitter is attached to the process connection by
four bolts and two cap screws. Remove the bolts and screws and separate the
transmitter from the process connection. Leave the process connection in place
and ready for reinstallation.
The Rosemount 3051T Transmitter is attached to the process by a single hex nut
process connection. Loosen the hex nut to separate the transmitter from
the process. Do not wrench on neck of transmitter. See warning in
transmitter
orientation.
