Alignment of Rubber Pads on Spray Boom

When the boom is folded, it must be checked that it rests correctly on the rubber pads. The rubber pads protect the boom
parts during folding and transport, so please check them for misalignment. The rubber pads also help to steer the boom
into the transport position.
Steps for adjustment:
1. Fold the boom and check the positions of the rubber pads (A).
They must be touching, when folding is completed.
2. If realigning is needed, loosen the four lock nuts (B) slightly.
Wrench size = 17 mm.
3. Move steel bracket with the rubber pad sideways to the wanted
position.
4. Tighten the four lock nuts to lock the position of the rubber pad.
5. Adjust other rubber pads on the boom as needed.

Wear Bushing Replacement on Boom Lift

The wear bushes are inspected and renewed, before they are worn
through.
1. Connect the trailer to a tractor and unfold the boom to working
position.
2. Lift the boom centre frame with a lifting device and support it,
until the load is taken off the parallelogram arms.
3. Remove the screws (A), and pull out the pins (B) at one of the
upper parallelogram arms and replace the wear bushes.
4. Refit the arm.
5. Repeat this on the other upper arm.
6. The lower arms must be disconnected simultaneously
7. Apply grease into all grease nipples.
8. Remove the lifting gear again.

Wear Bushing Renewal on Steering

If too much play is found in the steering, the wear bushes must be replaced.
This should be done at your local HARDI dealer.
