Before tightening the crankcase bolts, make
sure the transmission gears shift correctly
when the shift drum assembly is turned by
hand.
6. Install:
• Crankcase bolt (×27)
TIP
• Tighten the bolts "1"–"16" in the order of the
embossed numbers on the crankcase.
• Lubricate the bolts "1"–"6" threads, mating sur-
faces and washers with engine oil.
• Lubricate the bolts "7"–"12" threads, mating
surfaces and O-rings with engine oil.
• Lubricate the bolts "13"–"27" threads and mat-
