5 Scope of delivery
1 pc. 4X880=* Genium Protective Cover
1 pc. 4P880=* Protector foot cuff
1 pc. Instructions for use (user)
6 Handling
INFORMATION
Removing the foot cuff from the prosthetic foot is not possible. The foot cuff stays on the pros­
thetic foot even when the Protective Cover is not being used.
6.1 Protective Cover Installation
1) Open or remove the closures.
2) Spread open the Protective Cover and apply it to the knee joint.
→ Thread the Protective Cover into the foot cuff from the front (see fig. 1).
→ The retainers of the Protective Cover have to engage on the frame element of the knee
joint (see fig. 2).
3) Fasten the upper closure.
→ The retainer of the upper closure has to engage on the frame element of the knee joint
(see fig. 3).
→ Slightly squeeze the Protective Cover together with both hands.
→ The upper closure has to be pushed down after engaging.
→ Push down the upper closure with the thumb (see fig. 4).
4) Fasten the lengthwise closure (see fig. 5).
NOTICE
Loss of stability due to inadequately installed retainers
No hold of the Protective Cover on the knee joint.
Ensure that all retainers and closures are properly engaged and/or fastened.
6.2 Removing the Protective Cover
1) Pull down the textile material of the foot cuff until the Protective Cover is exposed.
2) Open or remove the closures.
3) Spread open the Protective Cover and remove it from the knee joint.
4) Fasten the two closures after removing the Protective Cover.
7 Maintenance
► During the standard inspection of the prosthesis components, also inspect the product.
7.1 Cleaning and Care
NOTICE
Improper product care
Damage to the product due to the use of incorrect cleaning agents.
Only clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap (e.g. 453H10=1-N Ottobock Der­
maClean).
1) Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth.
2) Dry the product with a soft cloth.
3) Allow to air dry in order to remove residual moisture.
