• Charging periods: Approx. 10 hours
D Charging description
q Install the Ni-Cd batteries. (See left page)
• Ni-MH batteries can also be charged.
wPlug the AC adapter into an AC outlet; or the optional CP-
18A/E into a cigarette lighter socket.
e Insert the adapter plug into [DC 6V] of the receiver.
r The battery type confirmation is displayed as above right.
• When no confirmation display is indicated, insert the adapter plug
while pushing [FUNC].
• Once the batteries are removed for more then 2 sec., the follow-
ing operations are necessary.

t Rotate [DIAL] to select "Y" then push [BAND•
[BAND•
y The charging confirmation is displayed.
uRotate [DIAL] to select "Y" then push [BAND•
battery charging.
• The battery indicator scrolls during charge as below.
• When the batteries are charged completely, the battery indica-
tor (both segments) blinks.
• Takes approximately 10 hours for fully charge with the supplied
Ni-Cd cells.
