After installing the M.2 backplane, complete the following steps:
1. Reinstall the PCIe riser-card if necessary (see

6. Power on the server and any peripheral devices.
Remove an M.2 drive from the M.2 backplane
Use this procedure to remove an M.2 drive from the M.2 backplane.
With M.2 backplane removed, complete the following steps to remove an M.2 drive from the M.2 backplane:
Step 1.
Press both sides of the retainer and slide it backward to loosen the M.2 drive from the M.2

backplane.
