General-Purpose Counter/Timer Features

This section describes the following features of counter/timer (C/T) operations:
• C/T channels, described below
• C/T clock sources, described on
• Gate types, described on
• Pulse types and duty cycles, described on
• C/T operation modes, described on

C/T Channels

DT9857 and DT9857E modules provide one 32-bit, general-purpose counter/timer (C/T 0).
The counter/timer accepts a clock input signal and gate input signal and outputs a pulse
(pulse output signal), as shown in
Using software, specify C/T subsystem element 0 to set up the parameters for the
general-purpose counter/timer. To read the counter/timer, specify channel 9 for the
DT9857-08 or DT9857E-08 or channel 17 for the DT9857-16 or DT9857E-16 in the analog input
channel list.
