Printouts have vertical lines.

Dirt on the top edge or back

of the paper.

Part of the image is

periodically faint or shows

white lines.

Print on the back of the

sheet is visible on the front.

Lines appear on ruled lines.

Part of the image has come

off (poor toner fixation).

Is the slit glass dirty?

Is the interior of the machine dirty?

Is the paper damp?

Corrective Actions

Clean the slit glass.

Clean the interior of the machine.

Select the [System Menu/Counter] key

> [Adjust/Maint.] > [Service Setting] >

[Drum Refresh] > [Yes]

Set [Prevent Bleed-through] to [On].

Replace the paper with new paper.

Select the [System Menu/Counter] key

> [Adjust / Maint.] > [Service Setting]

> [Transfer Adj.], and set to

[LineTextPriority].

Select the [System Menu/Counter] key

> [Adjust / Maint.] > [Service Setting]

> [Fuser Adjustment], and set to [2].
