6.5 MOWER CONDITIONER / TRACTOR
UNHOOK: PULL-TYPE
CAUTION
To prevent accidental movement of tractor,
shut off engine, engage parking brake, and
remove key.
To maintain stability, always lower the
machine
completely.
conditioner wheels before detaching from
tractor.

6.5.1 Drawbar Hitch Unhook

a. Park machine on flat level surface with hitch at
an angle to tractor drawbar (to facilitate pump
detachment).
b. Lower header onto blocks or leave header
raised. If leaving in raised position, engage lift
cylinder lock-out valves.
c. Move remote cylinder control valve lever back
and forth to relieve stored hydraulic pressure.
d. Disconnect
hydraulic
harness. Store hose ends in holes at front of
APT as shown.

e. Remove pin (A).

f.
Rotate hook (C) to the "lower" position.
g. Pull back collar on driveline (B), and slide
coupler off tractor PTO shaft, and position
driveline in hook.

h. Pull pin (D) securing jack (E), and move to
"working" position at front of APT. Secure jack
with pin (D).

Lower jack to take weight off tractor drawbar.
If ground is soft, place a block under the
jack.
