Operating principle

1 - Description

Machine movements are powered by a hydraulic pump.
The hydraulic pump is powered by an battery-powered electric motor.
To protect the staff and the machine, safety systems forbid the use of the machine beyond its
capacities.
Section G Technical characteristics
These security systems immobilize the machine and neutralize the movements.
Poor knowledge of the characteristics and operation of the machine can lead the operator to think that a
normal safety operation is a malfunction.

2.1 -

ACTIVATION OF CONTROLS

The controls must be validated by a 'Dead man' system to activate the different movements.
The 'Dead man' system depends on the machine configuration :
• Joystick handle.
• Pedal.
• Validation button.

2.2 - DRIVE SPEED

All driving speeds are authorised when the machine is stowed (machine in
lowered position) or below 1,50 m (4 ft 11 in) .
N.B.-:-I
F OUTRIGGERS OPTION
IS RAISED
Driving is cut off if the tilt exceeds the authorized limit.
For C8 (COMPACT 2032E) - C8W (COMPACT 2247E) - C10N (COMPACT2632E) - C10
(COMPACT 2747E) - C12 (COMPACT 3347E) - OPTIMUM 6 (OPTIMUM 1530E) -
OPTIMUM 8 (OPTIMUM1930E) :
Micro speed is automatically engaged if the machine is no longer stowed or exceeds 1,50 m
(4 ft 11 in) .
For COMPACT 10RTE (COMPACT 2668RTE) - COMPACT 12RTE (COMPACT 3368RTE) :
Low speed is automatically engaged when the machine is no longer in stowed position or
above 1,50 m (4 ft 11 in) .
The electronic variable speed unit controls movement and driving speed.
It receives information from the control joystick concerning the movements to be performed.
It also manages the safety systems status.
For every machine whose working height is higher than 8 m (26 ft 3 in) , travel is switched off
if the platform is raised to more than 8 m (26 ft 3 in) .
