Replacing printheads

The printhead can only be replaced as a complete unit
as shown in [12A].
WARNING!
Burn hazard! The printhead can become hot
during operation.

Be careful whenever touching the printer.
1. Switch off the machine.
2. Remove the mains power connecting line.
3. Remove the material and ribbon.
4. Pull out both plugs [10A,B] on the printhead. [9].

After switching off machine, wait at least 3 min-
utes before unplugging the printhead cable.

If the printhead is not at the limit stop on the
side, mark the position on the axle in advance.
5. Remove both wing bolts [8A] until the entire print-
head can be removed from the pressure shaft.
6. Install the new printhead at the former position and
retighten the wing bolts.
Factory set printhead position: at the limit stop on
the inside of the black plastic bushing.

The wing bolts must press against the chamfer
of the square axle.

Pay close attention to the position of the print-
head in relation to the edge of the label.
7. Plug the printhead cables back into the printhead.
