• Do not put and part of your body under the Lift while it is in motion! Serious injury may occur.

Raising a Vehicle
The Top Deck is raised using the Air/Hydraulic Pump.
IMPORTANT
To raise a Vehicle:
Make sure you are wearing OSHA-approved (publication 3151) Personal Protective Equipment:
leather gloves, steel-toed work boots, back belts, hearing protection, and ANSI-approved eye
protection (safety glasses, face shield, or goggles).
Verify Compressed Air is being supplied to the Hydraulic Pump.
Verify the Top Deck is fully lowered, the area around the Lift is clear of any personnel, and
obstructions around and above the Lift.
RML-1500XL ATV / Motorcycle Lift
Pay careful attention to the Safety Release Handle Position! Safety Locks allow
the Lift to be mechanically held aloft without the hydraulics. The Safety Release
Handle controls the Safety Lock Plate's position, allowing the plate to engage or
disengage the Safety Lock Ladder. There are only two positions on the Safety
Release Handle, both have detents that mark and lock their position.
• The Release Handle in the UP position puts the Lift's Safety Lock in the
Off position. The Lift will not engage any Safety Locks and may be
lowered to the ground. Refer to the figure below.
• The Release Handle in the Down position puts the Lift's Safety Locks in
the On position. The Lift will engage the nearest Safety Lock only when
lowering the Lift.
