Cleaning and changing the filter
The performance of the appliance also depends upon how clean the filter is. The
air filter 8 should be cleaned every 2 weeks.
Switch the appliance off and pull out the mains plug .
To remove the air inlet grille 7, use the recessed grip at the bottom of the
grille. Pull the air inlet grille 7 backwards.
Vacuum the air inlet grille 7 or clean it with a soft brush.
To remove the air filter 8 from the air inlet grille 7, press the two retaining
tabs on the underside of the air filter 8. The air filter 8 detaches from the
retaining tabs of the air inlet grille 7.
Now remove the air filter 8.
Vacuum the air filter 8 or clean it with a soft brush. If the air filter 8 is very
dirty, wash it in lukewarm water.
Allow the air filter 8 to dry completely before reinserting it into the unit
together with the air inlet grille 7.
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order (see fig. 6). Slide the air filter 8
first under the two upper retaining tabs of the air inlet grille 7 and then under
the lower retaining tabs.

Protection against overheating

The appliance has an overheating protection. It switches off automatically if
there is a risk of overheating and switches back on once the appliance has fully
cooled down. The appliance cannot be used during the cool-down phase.
Check whether external conditions may have triggered the overheating
protection (e.g. temperatures above 32°C or a closed air outlet flap 6).
