GOVERNOR DIAGNOSTICS (Kubota Engines)

1. Start Engine from Platform Controls. Depress Foot Switch.
2. Slowly engage Drive Forward or Reverse. If machine will not drive and go under a "Heavy Load", Refer to
Page 16 for "Magnetic Pickup Test Procedure". If machine drives go to Step 3.
3. Locate and disconnect the spade connectors in the Throttle Actuator wires. Refer to Figure 5-7 for location.
4. Using a Volt/Ohm Meter set to the RX10 Scale, measure the resistence of the Actuator Coil. It should read 1.8
Ohms ± .2 Ohms. If reading is outside of this range replace Actuator. If reading is within range go to Step 5.
5. Reconnect spade connectors.
6. Start the Engine from the Platform Controls.
7. Select "LOW" with the Engine Speed switch. Depress and hold Foot Switch.
8. In the Lower Control Box, locate wire #78 in Terminal Block TB3. Refer to section 3, page 8.
9. Measure voltage on wire #78. It should read 12 volts ± 2 volts. If no voltage present refer to "Engine Stays at
Idle(950 rpm) from Platform Controls" in section 4, page 24. If voltage present replace Governor Control Box.
10. Locate wire #79 in Lower Control Box in Terminal Block TB3. Refer to section 3, page 8.
11. Using a jumper wire from wire #09, jump to wire #79. If RPM's rise, refer to "No High RPM" section of
Electrical Trouble Shooting, section 4, page 24. If RPM's do not rise replace Governor Control Box.
