BOOM FUNCTION BOARD ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE

1.
Open Platform Control Box and locate the Boom Function Control Board. Refer to Figure 6-2 for location.
2.
Locate and remove wire #12 from the terminal labeled "PWM A". Refer to Figure 5-6 for location.
3.
Attach the Black (-) meter lead to the terminal labeled "PWM A" on the Boom Function Control Board.
NOTE: Meter must be capable of reading Milliamps.
4.
Attach the Red (+) meter lead to wire #12.
5.
Switch the meter to the Milliamps function.
6.
Pull out the Platform Emergency Stop Button, depress and hold the foot switch.
7.
Rotate the Boom Speed Control knob fully counterclockwise(left) to the slow position.
8.
Locate and adjust the Potentiometer labeled "LOW" until the meter reads 550 mA(.55A). Refer to figure 5-6 for
location.
9.
Rotate the Boom Speed Control knob fully clockwise(right) to the fast position.
10.
Locate and adjust the Potentiometer labeled "HI A" until the meter reads 1500mA(1.5A).
NOTE: Making adjustments to either potentiometer will affect the other potentiometer. Repeat Steps 7 through
10 until readings stabilize at the proper values.
11.
Remove meter and reattach wire #12 to the terminal labeled "PWM A".
12.
Start the engine and select "HI" engine RPM's.
13.
Time each function. Adjust the potentiometer labeled "HI A" down(CCW) if function times exceed the
Specifications in Section 2, Page 13.
14.
Paint the potentiometer adjusting screws with nail polish or RTV Silicone to prevent vibration from changing
settings.
