Wiring Method Two
This method assumes that the entire system, including
each lighting zone controller and Digital microWATT
router panel or GRAFIK
TM
power from the normal/emergency service distribution
panel shown on the previous page. The placement of
the normally closed dry contact closure will determine
what lights go to the emergency light level as shown in
the following diagram. Close-up diagrams of each
switch are shown on the following pages. Keep in mind
that one or more of these approaches can be used.
• S1: This is the main override switch that takes the
entire system to the emergency light level. This switch
connects between the GCOM and GEMERG terminals
on the first router panel, or between SENSE and +V on
the first GRAFIK 7000P panel. There can be multiple
S1 switches but they have to be in series with the first
switch.

• S2: This switch controls all LZC links that are
connected to the panel. It is located right before the
router panel GEMERG terminal or GRAFIK 7000P
SENSE terminal.
• S3: This switch controls one of the LZC links that
are connected to the panel. It is located between
one of the LZC link EMERG terminals and the first
lighting zone controller EMERG terminal.
• S4: This switch controls a single unit. This switch is
connected to the lighting zone controller EMERG
terminal after the LZC link daisy chain so as not to
affect any other unit on the LZC link.
Notes:
• Each switch must be closed for normal operation.
• Each switch must not be shared with any other
equipment.
• Dry contact closures are not supplied by Lutron.
