CAUTION:
To avoid damages to the transceiver, a compatible optical attenuation must be used if a short-haul
optical fiber is connected to a long-haul transceiver (40 km/24.86 miles or above). A loopback
occurs if you connect the receive optical bore to the transmit optical bore with a short-haul optical
fiber, as shown in
