The following table lists in alphabetical order the error messages that might be displayed during operation along
with recommended error processing. An asterisk indicates errors that are defined in DeviceNet. The four-digit hex-
adecimal number after some error messages is the error code.
Error message
Bus Off occurred. Execute on-line process
again.
OUT and IN areas duplicated.
xxxxxxxx in integer XX to YY.
xxxxxxxx in integer.
Access Violation.
Wrong Attribute Data.
Writing Attribute Data failed.
Parameters to be printed not set.
Printing can not be started.
Out of area or setup impossible area.

Error Messages
A bus-off error (communications stopped because of too many
communications errors) occurred in the network. Make an online
connection again.
The output and input areas overlap in the Master parameter settings.
Input an integer value between XX and YY for xxxxxxxxxx.
Input an integer value for xxxxxxxxxx.
* The parameter is incorrect. Check the parameter setting.
* The parameter is incorrect. Check the parameter setting.
* The specified data couldn't be written. Check the command and the
other node's operating status and try executing the command again.
The parameters specified for printing do not exist. Specify the
parameters correctly.
The printing process could not be started.
The specified data area was exceeded or couldn't be specified. Set
the data area correctly.
All of the parameters are read-only.
The starting byte can't be set to "High" when two or more bytes are
required. Either change the data size or start with the "Low" byte.
The specified class or instance data is incorrect. Set correct data.
The specified offset value causes the range to be exceeded. Specify
an offset that doesn't exceed the range.
* The specified command cannot be executed in the device's current
mode. Change the device's mode.
The Master parameters can't be set unless the PC is in PROGRAM
mode.
* The specified command cannot be executed in the current mode.
Check the PC's or Unit's mode.
The Master parameters (scan list) can't be set while Master
parameters (scan list) are being set.
A Master Unit or the Configurator is already using the specified node
address. Specify another node address.
All or part of the specified memory block area is already allocated to
another memory block area. Either specify a different area or change
the settings of the other memory block area.

The Master parameter wizard could not allocate I/O memory to a
