Replace entire probe (excluding electronics)

Do not attempt to replace the probe until you have eliminated all other possibilities for
poor performance.

Procedure
1. Follow the instructions in
2. Remove the right housing cover (11) to uncover the probe connections.
3. Remove screws (12) and unplug adapter board (13) from termination housing (14).
4. Remove the four screws (7) from the probe finned housing.
5. Place the connectors from the probe through the hole in the flat side of the

7. Align pins of adapter board (13) with mating connectors in termination housing
8. Plug the two wire heater power connector from the probe into the mating

Replace heater strut

Do not attempt to replace the heater strut until you have considered all other possibilities
for poor performance.
If you need to replace the heater strut, order a replacement heater strut (see
parts).
WARNING
The probe can be as hot as 800 °F (427 °C). This can cause severe burns.
Wear heat resistant gloves and clothing when removing probe.
Do not attempt to work on the probe until it has cooled to room temperature.
