correct use of the machine before using the machine. Keep the user manual in a
secure location for later use and regular reference and for when ordering of spare
parts.
Never allow children to use the machine. Never use the machine without thorough
instruction. Only responsible individuals who are familiar with the rules for safe
operation should be permitted to use this machine.
Keep unauthorised persons and especially children and animals at a safe distance
from the work area. Stop the engine immediately if anyone approaches. Keep the work
area clean and free of branches and other obstacles that could cause you to trip or fall.
Be aware that it is the operator or user who is liable for any accidents or hazards to
other people, their property or to themselves.
The woodchipper is a powerful machine. Exercise caution at all times. The machine is
designed to chip wood. Do not use the machine for any other purpose.
If situations arise that are not covered by this user manual, exercise caution and sound
judgement.
Preparation
Check thoroughly the work area that the equipment shall be used in and remove all
foreign objects.
Never use the machine without wearing the necessary personal protective equipment
and safety goggles. Always wear safety goggles to protect the eyes from ejected
foreign objects when using the machine and when carrying out any kind of adjustment
or repair. Ensure that the safety goggles are correctly in place.
Avoid wearing loose-fitting clothing, jewellery or having long hair as these can become
trapped in moving parts. Do not use the equipment with bare feet or sandals. Wear
non-slip safety footwear. It is recommended that you wear long trousers and long
sleeves. Wear gloves when material has to be fed into the feed chute and ensure that
