Steel Ports
Stoinless
steel ports,
such

mouldings,

should
be
cleoned
with
Americon
Motors
Chrome
Cleoner
or
equivolent. Under
certoin
conditions
of
operotion,
o
corrosion
moy develop
on the
stoinless
steel
ports
thot
will, if
ollowed
to
go
without
on
occosionol
cleoning,
result
in
o
rusty
opPeoronce.
Chrome Ports
Under normol
conditions,
chrome
ports should
be
wiped
occosionolly
with
o
cloth
dompened
with light
oil
or
kerosene. Corrosion spots
or
tornish
on
chrome
con
be
removed
with
chrome
cleoner.

oils
ond
other
sub-
stonces

by
use
of
the
windshield
wiper.
To
remove
this foreign
substonce,
use
ONLY
POWDERED
"BON
AMl"
er
equivolent
on
o
cloth
dompened
with
woter
to
cleon
the
gloss
ond
wiper
blqdes. Then
wosh these ports
ond
rinse using
woter
to
remove
qll
troces
of
the foreign
substonces.
The
wiper
blodes should olwoys
be
cleoned
prior
to
cleoning
the
wind-
shield
gloss.
Coution should
olso
be
exercised
when
opplying
ony
odhesives
to
the
gloss.
Certoin odhesive moteriols
used
for
posting signs
or
lobels
on
the
gloss couse
pits in
the
gloss.
Gloss
Breokoge
Core should olso
be
exercised
to
prevent gloss
breokoge.
The use
of
coot
hongers
or
ony
hook
over
the edge
of
the
gloss
moy
couse
edge

roctures
ond
result
in
breokoge.
The proctice
of
pulling
doors
closed
by
holding
to
the
gloss
when
in
o
portiolly lowered position moy
result
in
gloss breokoge. The gloss
moy
not
breok
immediotely
ofter the edge

but
will
breok
from
the

ploce when
the
leost
omount
of
stroin
is
ploced
on
the

closing doors

CLEANING
UPHOLSTERY
Before
ony
cleoning operotion
is
performed,
it
must
be
known the
type
of
moteriol
to
be
cleoned

the
type
of
foreign
substonce
to
be
re-
moved.
It
is
suggested
to
use
only
Polyure-
thone
sponges,
cleon white
cheese
cloth, ond
os
o cleoner
use
only
Amer-
icon Motors Fobric Cleoner
or
equivo-
lent,
unless
otherwise specified
for
re-
moving
vorious
stoins.
Cleoning Heodlining
Remove
surplus
dirt
bY
oPPlYing
cleon
mosking
tope Iightly
severol
times.
Use
o
cleon piece
of
cheese
cloth
dompened
in
lukeworm
woter ond
o
mild soop
suds
follow with
o
cleon
cloth
dompened
in
lukeworm
cleor
woter.
Wipe
dry with
o
soft cleon
cloth.
To
remove greose spots use
o
cleon
cloth dompened
in
Americon
Motors
Fobric Cleoner
ond wipe lightly.
Do
not
rub.
Cleoning Seot Cushion ond

Moteriol
When
exomining
fobric
moteriol
on
seot
cushions
ond seot
bocks,
it
must
be
understood
thot
if
the spot
to
be
removed is
only on the
surfoce
of
the
moteriol
it
con
be
removed
with
mosk-
ing fope.
Then
with
o
wiping oction
of
the sponge
ond
proper cleoning
ogent.
lf
the
spot
is
coused
by
o
fluid
which
hos sooked
into
the
upholstery fobric
it
con
noi be
removed
by
o
swiping
oction
of
the
sponge,
but
o
sufflcient
quontity
of the
cleoning moteriol
must
be opplied
to
completely
dissolve the
foreign
substonce
from eoch strond of
the
fobric.
Sooking
spots
of
this noture
loosens
the foreign
substonce
from the
fobric
ond
forces
it
through
the fobric on
or
into
the foom
or
cotton
pods
under
the
upholstering.
lt
con not be
re-
moved unless
o
strong
suction
vocu-
um cleoner
is
used
or the
upholstery
is
removed sufficiently
to
ploce
o
cleon white
cloth under
the
spot
on
the
upholstery.
This
will
obsorb
the
foreign
substonce
ond
cleoning
ogent
when
it
is
opplied.
Cleoning Genuine Leother ond
Vinyl with
Leother
Groin
Finish
The
couse
of
stickiness
ond
loss of
luster
on
these types
of
upholstery
is
due lorgely
to
the
use
of
polishes
or
