Remove
the
inspection
cover
on
the
reor
of
the oxle
housing
ond
ollow
the
lubricont
to
droin from the
oxle.
An
oxle
flushing solution
con
be
used
in
the oxle
to
degreose
the
ports
before
the octuol
disossembly
is
stort-
ed.
This
proclice
will
sove
time
during
disossembly
os
the
ports
will
be
free
from
lubricont
ond moy be
hondled
ond
inspected
eosily.
Roise
ond support
the reor
of
the
body.
Remove
the reor
wheels
ond
reor
wheel
hubs.
Then disconnect
ond
remove
the
hond broke
cobles
f
rom
the
broke
ossemblies.
Remove
the
propeller
shoft
using
Coupling
Nut
Wrenches
J-4486
(FiS.
l)
for
'i
95.6
Cubic
lnch
Engine equip-
ment. The
coupling nut
dust
shield
will
serve
os
o
puller
to
portiolly
remove
the propeller
shoft from
the reor
oxle
plnion.
With
the
232
Cubic lnch
Engine
the
propeller
shoft
is
removed
by
seporot-
ing
the reor
universol
ioint
by
remov-
ing the two
"U"-bolts
(Fig.2).
The
drive pinion yoke
is
removed
by
re-
moving
the cop
screw
thot
holds
the
yoke
to the
pinion
shoft.
Disconnect
the reor
shock obsorbers,
the reor broke line
ot the
brocket
on
the
body
floor pon, ond the
reor

The drum

removed

the
hub ofter
the
wheel hos been
re-
moved. The
drum
is held
to
the hub
by
three
cop
screws.
The
hub ond oxle shoft ore
serroted
to
mote
ond
fit
together on the toper.
The
oxle shoft
key
insures
correct
olignment ot
f
ulure
ossembly.
