speed

Do not drive the
cor

for

periods

high
speeds
resu/fing
in
excessive/y
high
engine
R.P.M.
Monuol shifting
to
utilize
engine
broking
on
long grodes
is olso
pos-
sible.
Towing the
Cor
lf
the
tronsmission
is
inoperotive,
the cor
should be towed
with the
reor
wheels
oft
the ground
or with the
pro-
peller shoft
disconnected.
For short
distonces,
if
the
tronsmis-
sion
is
operoting properly, the cor
moy
be towed with the selector lever
in
the
N
(Neutrol)
position.
The
oil
level
must
be
to
the
proper
level.
The
torque converter is designed
so
thot fluid
flows
from
the
impeller
to
the turbine
ond
bock
to the
impeller
through the stotor, utilizing
centrifugol
force creoted
by the rototing
units.
As
the impeller
rolotes
with
engine
speed,
fluid is forced out
through
the
P, R,
N,
D,
2,
1 os
illustroted
in
(Fig
2).
