The super heot
pressure
spring
is
constont ogoinst
the
diophrogm
to
re-
duce
the
orifice
opening.
The evoporotor
pressure

re-
duces
the ori{lce opening.
Thermol
bulb
pressure
ogoinst
the
diophrogm opens
or
increoses
the
orifice
opening.
The
thermol
bulb is
chorged
with
Freon-12
in
o
liquid ond
gos stote ond
is
connected
to
the diophrogm
in
the
exponsion
volve. The
pressure
in
the
thermol
bulb
will
vory with
tempero-
ture. The
bulb is
clomped
to
the
suc-
tion
line odiocent
to
the
evoporotor
outlet,
thus sensing
the temperoture of
the
suction
line.
The suction
line
lem-
peroture
is
controlled
by the
quontity
of
refrigeront in the evoporotor.
If
the
suction line temperoture
increoses,
ther-
mol bulb
pressure
will
increose
over-
coming
the
effects
of
the super
hecrt
ond
evoporotor
pressUr€s;
on
increose
in
Freon
flow into the
evoporotor
will
resu
lt.
lf
the
suction
line
temperoture
de-
creoses,
thermol
bulb
pressure
de-
creoses,
ond
the super heot
spring
ond
evoporotor
pressures
will
reduce
the
orifice opening; thus less Freon
will
flow
into the evoporotor.
Some
of
the
heot
in
the
oir
being di-
rected
through
the
evoporotor
is
ob-
sorbed
by the
Freon.
The
Freon
is
boiled os
it
obsorbs
the heot ond
the
heot is retoined
in the
Freon
vopor.
lt
is this heot which
is
removed
by
the
cooling oction
of
the
condenser,
ihot
chonges
the voporized
Freon
bock
into

the
thermostot
setting ond the control
closes
the
mog-
netic clutch circuit
ond
