Figure 4–6: Edit Method screen
Function details of the Edit Method screen:
• Open Manifold – Adds an Open Manifold step into a method.
• Close Manifold – Adds a Close Manifold step into a method.
• Add Profile – Opens the Pressure Profiles screen, where you can select a pressure profile to
add a method.
• Pause – Adds a Pause into a method, allowing you time to slide the columns or plate out from
underneath the manifold, and then add the next liquid in the method protocol.
• Copy Step – Copies the step line in the profile and adds it below the original line copied.
• Delete Step – Deletes an individual step from a method.
• Move Step Up and Move Step Down – Moves a selected step up or down, respectively, in the
method protocol.
• Run – Runs the current method.
• Stop – Stops the currently running method immediately
• Full Open Manifold – Immediately opens the manifold to the fully open position.
• Sample Name – Adds a sample name to the associated method or methods.
• Method Folder – Opens a listing of all the saved methods in the software's library.
• Save and Save As – Saves the method under the current name or a new name, respectively.
• Back – Returns to the most recently opened screen.
