    SYSTEM INTRODUCTION Controls The TZTL12F and TZTL15F are operated by a power switch on the front panel and a microSD card slot, which is used for chart data, is on the rear panel. The power switch is also used to adjust brilliance. The TZT2BB uses the Switch Box (PSD-003) for power and SD cards.

With use of the SDU-001 or a SD card reader, SDXC (Secure Digital Extended Capacity) cards can also be used. Note: TZT2BB generally uses only SD cards (inserted via the SDU-001), however if the unit has microSD cards inserted inside the processor unit, microSD cards may be used for charts and data storage.

    1. SYSTEM INTRODUCTION 1.12 Chart Plotter Introduction The chart plotter provides a small world map in raster format. A vector chart for the US coastline (with Alaska and Hawaii) is provided also. The chart plotter section has func- tions to enter points, and create and plan routes. The chart plotter receives position data fed from the built in GPS receiver (TZTL12F/ TZTL15F), or from the connected EPFS device (TZT2BB).

    1. SYSTEM INTRODUCTION 1.13 Radar Introduction A radar system operates in the microwave part of the radio frequency (RF) range. The radar detects the position and movement of objects. Objects are shown on the radar display at their measured distances and bearings in intensities according to echo strength.

    1. SYSTEM INTRODUCTION 1.14 Fish Finder Introduction The fish finder display provides a picture of the echoes found by the fish finder. Echoes are scrolled across the screen from the right position to the left position. The echoes at the right position are the current echoes. These echoes can be from separate fish, a school of fish, or the bottom.

Note: When [Touch Output] (see section 10.5) is enabled, the two-finger tap function is not available on the display that shows the output from the HDMI port.
