Do Not Short Circuit the Battery
Short circuiting the battery generates a very high current that could overheat the battery and result in
electrolyte gel leakage, harmful fumes, or an explosion. Placing the LIR tabs on a conductive surface
could easily cause a short-circuit. An appropriate PCM (protection circuit module) is used in the design
to help protect against an accidental short-circuit of the battery pack.
Mechanical shock
Any mechanical damage incurred from dropping the unit, impact, etc. may cause catastrophic failure,
or reduce the life of the LIR battery.
Battery connection
1. Do not solder wire leads or other devices directly to the battery.
2. Lead tabs with pre-soldered wiring should only be spot-welded to the batteries. Due to heat build-
up, direct soldering may cause component damage, such as to the separator and insulator.
Short circuit prevention within a battery pack
There are plenty of insulation layers between the wiring and the batteries to provide extra protection.
The battery pack was designed and constructed this way to prevent short circuiting that could cause
smoke or fire.
Do No Disassemble the Batteries
1. Never disassemble the batteries as doing so may cause an internal short circuit that could result in
harmful fumes, fire, explosion, or other catastrophic problems.
2. Electrolyte Gel is harmful. Should the electrolyte gel leak and come into contact with the skin or
eyes, flush the area of contact immediately with fresh water, and seek medical attention immediately.
Do Not Expose the Battery to Heat or Fire
Never incinerate the batteries. Attempting to dispose of them via fire in any form may cause an explosion,
and lead to catastrophic injury, and that would be very, very, very bad.
Do Not Expose the Battery to water or liquids
Never soak/drop the batteries into any liquids, especially water, seawater, cola, juices, coffee, or
beverage of your choice.
