Connecting a digital media player to DMPORT
(DIGITAL MEDIA PORT)
You can listen to or record the playback sound
from a digital media player (such as a portable
audio player) that supports a DMPORT
connection.
Connect the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter to
the unit and the external digital media player.
You can operate the connected digital media
player from the unit.

Select the DMPORT function or
press DMPORT.

Connect the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT
adapter to the DMPORT on the unit
and to the external digital media
player.
If the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter
supports the operation of the buttons on the
unit and remote control, a figure of a remote
control lights up in the display. If the figure
is not displayed, the connected digital media
player cannot be operated from this unit.

Play the connected digital media
player.
The playback sound is output from the unit's
speakers.
Refer to the operating manual of the
DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter or the
connected digital media player.
Tips
You can carry out iPod menu operations when it is
placed on the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter. To
do this, press DMPORT MENU.
You can connect or disconnect the DIGITAL MEDIA
PORT adapter to or from the DMPORT while the
unit is on.
Notes
Depending on the type of DIGITAL MEDIA
PORT adapter, you may not be able to operate the
connected digital media player using the buttons on
the remote or the unit. In this case, use the controls
on the digital media player to operate it. Refer to the
operating manual of the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT
adapter or the connected digital media player.
Available DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapters vary in
each area.
Do not connect an adapter other than the DIGITAL
MEDIA PORT adapter.
When using a DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter
that has video output function, connect the adapter
directly to the TV.
