NOTE:
A load factor of S2:15min means that you may op-
erate the motor continuously at its nominal power
level for no longer than 15 minutes per period. If you
fail to respect this time limit the motor will overheat.
Shutting the motor down will cool it down to its
starting temperature, allowing a new working peri-
od to begin.

OPERATION

PREPARING THE UNIT
Unpacking and completing the assembly should
be done on a flat and stable surface, with enough

To assemble the machine:
WARNING:
All the necessary adjustments for the good work-
ing of your machine have been done at the factory.
Do not modify them. However, because of a normal
wear and tear of your tool, some re-adjustments
might be necessary.

WARNING:
Always unplug your machine from power source be-
fore any adjustment.
Column to base (Fig. 3):
Position the base (1) on the floor or bench.
Place column assembly (2) on base and align
holes in column support with holes in base. To
attach and fasten the pillar unit, screw the three
screws (a) into the base plate and tighten them
with a wrench.
Table and pillar (Fig. 4):
Slide the drilling table (3) onto the pillar (2). Po-
sition the table directly above the base plate.
Install the table bolting (b) in the table unit from
the left side and tighten it.
Machine head and pillar (Fig. 5):
Place the machine head (4) onto the pillar (2). The
spindle of the drilling machine should be over the
table. Fasten the two Allen screws (c).
Drill chuck protection with depth stop (Fig. 6):
Fit the chuck protection with depth stop (8) onto
the spindle pipe and tighten the slotted screw (d).
NOTE:
The depth stop must be fed through the drilling (13)
on the housing. Screw on the two nuts (B1/2) and
place the indicator (g) onto the depth stop. The indi-
cator (g) must point at the scale.
Feed handles to the shaft hub (Fig. 7):
Screw the feed handles (A) tightly into the thread-
ed holes in the hub.
Installing the chuck (Fig. 8):
Clean the conical hole in the chuck (5) and the
spindle cone with a clean piece of fabric. Make
sure there are no foreign particles on it, as the
slightest piece of dirt will prevent the chuck from
being properly positioned, causing the drill bit to
wobble. Push the chuck up on the spindle nose as
far as it can go. Turn chuck sleeve anticlockwise
(when viewed from above) and open jaws in chuck
completely.
Place a piece of wood on the machine table and
lower the spindle onto the piece of wood. Press
firmly to ensure that the fitting of the chuck is
properly done.
NOTE:
All bare parts are greased in order to protect them
from corrosion. Before mounting the drill chuck
onto the spindle, both parts must be completely
degreased using an environmentally friendly sol-
vent. This ensures optimal transmission of power.
Installing the machine:
Before you use the drill for the first time it must
mounted in a stationary position on a firm sur-
face. Use both mounting holes in the base plate
to do this. Ensure that the machine is freely acces-
sible for operation, adjustment and maintenance.
WARNING:
The fixing screws may only be tightened to a point
