ASSEMBLY
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying
out any work on the power tool.
Use suitable screws to fix the power tool to the
ƒ
workbench/worktop with the four holes (7) pro-
vided for this purpose.
FITTING THE SPARK ARRESTOR/wORKPIECE
SUPPORT
TOOL SUPPORT (LEFT AND RIGHT)
Fasten the tool support (4) to the grinding wheel
guard (6) with the mushroom head screw (M6x10)
and the star grip nut. The distance between wheel
and work rest should not exceed 2mm.
SPARK GUARD wITH LED wORK LAmP (LEFT
AND RIGHT)
Fasten the spark guard (2) with lEd work lamps
(5) to the grinding wheel guard (6) with two
M5x8 pan head screws. The distance to the grind-
ing wheel (3) should be not more than 2mm. The
distance between the spark guard (2) and the
grinding wheel (3) can be adjusted by slackening
the two pan head screws. Tighten the screws se-
curely.
LED wORk LAMP
The lighting (5) can be switched on by pressing
the switch on the lamp. The lighting is switched
off by pressing the switch again. Open the bat-
tery compartment to insert/ change the batter-
ies (2xAAA R03 1.5v) . Insert the batteries (2x on
each side) . If you change the batteries dispose of
the used batteries properly. Replace the cover of
the battery compartment in reverse order.
SAFETY SCREENS
Install the safety screen (1) on the lEd work lamp
(5) with the M5x55 mushroom head screw and
the knurled head screw. The guard is individual-
ly adjustable, as to protect the users eyes during
grinding process.

CHANGING THE GRINDING wHEEL

The rated speed of the accessory must be at
ƒ
least equal to the maximum speed marked on
the power tool. accessories running faster than
their rated speed can break and fly apart.
Grinding wheels with a diameter that exceeds
ƒ
the specification on the power tool are not
permitted.
Use the power tool only with application tools
ƒ
that are mounted on both spindles. This will
prevent contact with the rotating spindle.
Replace the grinding wheel when the spark arres-
tor holder (2) can no longer be set to the required
distance of max. 2 mm from the grinding wheel.
loosen the three screws from the cover (6) and
ƒ
remove the cover. hold the grinding spindle with
an openended spanner and unscrew the clamping
nut from the grinding spindle.
Note: The grinding spindle on the left side of the
power tool has a left-hand thread.
Remove the clamping flange and the grinding
ƒ
wheel from the grinding spindle.

Reverse the process to mount the new grinding
ƒ
wheel. Firmly replace the cover and tighten with
the three screws.

OPERATION

STARTING OPERATION
Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage
f
of the power source must match the voltage
specified on the rating plate of the power tool.
Power tools marked with 230 V can also be oper-
ated with 220 V.
Always check abrasive tools before using them.
f
The abrasive tool must be fitted properly and be
able to move freely. Carry out a test run for at
least one minute with no load. Do not use abra-
sive tools that are damaged, run untrue or vi-
brate during use. damaged abrasive tools can burst
apart and cause injuries.
SwITCHING ON AND OFF
To start the power tool, push the on/off switch
ƒ
(8) into position "I".
To switch off the power tool, push the on/off
ƒ
switch (8) into position "0".

wORkING ADVICE

Switch the power tool on before bringing the
f
workpiece into contact with it and only switch
the power tool off after you have removed the
workpiece. The workpiece can move suddenly.
Never reach into the power tool grinding
f
wheel when it is running. This can lead to seri-
ous injuries.
wear a work apron. Ensure that no persons
f
are at risk due to flying sparks. Remove com-
bustible materials from the surrounding area.
Flying sparks are created when sanding metals.
Use silicon carbide grinding discs C (accessory)
when working carbide (Tc) workpieces.
