STEP 17. CONFIGURE HOSE
ROUTING: A-40D ONLY
The A40-D header drive hose routing depends
on the windrower model to which the header is
being attached.
A
a. Press screwdriver against latch in opening (A),
and lift to open header LH drive shield. Shield
will latch at (B) to stay open.
b. Check hose routing at the reel motor.
c. Disconnect hoses as follows:

1. Disconnect hose (C) at tee.
2. Disconnect hose (D) at reel motor.
3. Disconnect tee (E) at motor lower port.

d. Re-connect hoses as follows:

1. Relocate tee (E) to upper port.
2. Connect hose (D) to tee.
3. Connect hose (C) to motor lower port.
e. Close drive shield before engaging header.
STEP 18. RE-POSITION SICKLE
DRIVE BOX BREATHER
BETWEEN LOWER HOLE
CHECK OIL LEVEL WITH TOP OF
SICKLE DRIVE BOX HORIZONTAL
a. Move breather/dipstick (B) to back port, and
install plug (A) in forward port at sickle drive
box(es).
b. Check oil level. If required, add SAE 85W-140
lubricant.
