9.5 Temperature Probe (NTC)

General Characteristics
Temperature Probe is a type of resistor whose
resistance varies significantly with temperature. It
measures the temperature of the air in the Dryer so
the Dryer knows its temperature limits. When it fails,
it can cause the Dryer to not heat at all or heat up
to the wrong temperature.It is used to check the
temperature of air at inlet.
Steps to disassemble the Temperature Probe (NTC):
1.
For disassembling the Temperature Probe (NTC),
remove the Top Panel (Refer first 4 steps of Control
Panel Disassemble Procedure).
2. For disassembling the Temperature Probe (NTC),
remove the Right Side Panel (Refer first 4 steps of
Main Control Board Disassemble Procedure).
3. Locate and unplug the connector as shown (See
Fig. 52).

4. Grasp the Temperature Probe and pull it out (See
Fig. 54).

Steps to assemble the Temperature Probe (NTC):
1.
Place the Temperature Probe in the shown
direction (See Fig. 56).
2. Plug the connector (See Fig. 52).
3. Reassemble the Right Side Panel (Refer 5-8 steps
of Main Control Board Assemble Procedure).
4. Reassemble the Top Panel (Refer last 4 steps of
Control Panel Assemble Procedure).
