Hold down the recessed Reset
button for 30 seconds while applying
power to the unit

Hold down the Reset button for
about 6 sec. until the Reset LED
blinks twice. Then release and press
Reset momentarily (for <1 second)
within 1 second.

Hold down the Reset button
for about 9 sec. until the Power
LED blinks three times (once at
3 seconds, again at 6 seconds,
again at 9 seconds). Then release
and press Reset momentarily (for
<1 second) within 1 second.
NOTE: The factory configured passwords for all accounts on this enclosure have been set to
the enclosure serial number. In the event of a complete system reset, the passwords convert
to the default, which is no password (see
PowerCage 401 Reset Mode Summary
The PowerCage 401 reverts to
the factory default firmware for
a single power cycle. All user files
and settings (audio adjustments,
video settings, IP settings, etc.) are
maintained.
Mode 4 does the following:
•
Sets port mapping back to factory
default.
•
Turns DHCP off.
•
Sets the IP address back to
factory default (192.168.254.254).
•
Sets the subnet back to factory
default (255.255.255.0).
•
Sets the default gateway address
to the factory default (0.0.0.0).
•
The Reset LED flashes 4 times in
quick succession during reset.
Mode 5 performs a complete reset
of the enclosure to factory defaults
(except the firmware).
•
Does everything mode 4 does.
•
Resets all user modifiable
configurations to default values
including IP settings and real time
adjustments.
•
Deletes all user loaded files.
•
The Reset LED flashes 4 times in
quick succession during the reset.
Passwords
Result
Use mode 1 to revert back
to factory default firmware
for a single power cycle if
incompatibility issues arise.
Mode 4 resets all IP settings
back to factory defaults.
Mode 5 is useful if you want
to restart with the default
configuration. Equivalent to
SIS command ZQQQ.
