Before you can use your VOGT compressed air device, it must be fitted
with a tool appropriate for the task and connected to a suitable com-
pressed air supply.
The various tools available for the VOGT compressed air devices allow
them to be used flexibly. The procedure for equipping them with a tool is
always the same.
Note: Only use original tools or tools that have been expressly approved
by the manufacturer for use in VOGT compressed air devices. Only use
undamaged tools. Faulty or unsuitable tools increase the risk of accidents.
Edgeless tools increase noise and vibration levels during work and impair
performance.
Follow these steps to insert a tool:
The tool may be ejected forcefully or the VOGT
Hammers / VOGT TurboSpade may start up unin-
tentionally
Risk of severe injury.
¾ Disconnect the compressed air hose from the
VOGT Hammer / TurboSpade before inserting or
replacing the tool.
¾ Check that the tool is locked firmly in place.
1. Hold the VOGT compressed air device up with the tool holder and
support it with the other side on the ground.
2. If the VOGT compressed air device has already been running, check
whether the chisel holder contains oil. Top up the oil if required (see
Chapter 6).
3. Insert the hexagonal part of the tool (A) into the chisel holder (B).
4. Now push the clamping sleeve (C) back until the tool slides into the
holder. Pull the clamping sleeve forward again.
