Receiving Automatically in FAX
Mode
Your machine is preset to FAX mode at the factory. If you
have changed the fax mode, take the following steps to
receive faxes automatically:

Press and hold down the Rcv. Mode/Contrast button
until the mode changes, release the button. Repeatedly
press the Rcv. Mode/Contrast button until the display
shows "FAX," then press the Start/Enter button.
When you receive a call, the machine answers the call
on the specified number of rings and receives a fax
automatically. To change the number of rings. See
"Setting User-Selectable Features" on page 3.5.
To adjust the ringer volume, see "Setting Volume" on
page 3.2.
Press and hold down the Rcv. Mode/Contrast button
until the mode changes, release the button. Repeatedly
press the Rcv. Mode/Contrast button until the display
shows "AUTO," then press the Start/Enter button.
When a call comes in, the machine answers on the
selected ring count. If a fax tone is sensed, the machine
receives the fax automatically.
