Energy saving tips

Utilise the setting options offered by the
heat pump control unit and the remote
control (if installed):
■ Never overheat your rooms. Every
degree by which the room temperature
is reduced saves up to 6% on heating
costs.
Never set your room temperature
higher than 20 °C (see page 25).
■ Heating system with radiators:
Heat your rooms to the standard room
temperature during the day and the
reduced temperature at night. Set the
time program for this. Select the time
phases according to your habits, e.g.
differently at the weekend to the week-
days.
■ Heating system with underfloor heat-
ing:
Underfloor heating systems are slow,
low temperature heating systems and
only respond very slowly to short term
temperature changes.
Therefore, heating to the reduced
room temperature at night and ena-
bling "Economy mode" during short
absences do not result in significant
energy savings.
Introductory information
■ For central heating/cooling, select the
operating program that meets your
current requirements:
– For short absences (a few hours,
e.g. shopping trips), select "Econ-
omy mode" (not for underfloor
heating systems; see explanations
above).
As long as economy mode is activa-
ted, the room temperature is
reduced.
– If you are going away, set the "Hol-
iday program" (see page 32).
As long as the holiday program is
activated, the room temperature is
reduced and DHW heating is off.
– In summer, if you do not want to heat
any rooms but do need DHW, select
the operating program "Only
DHW" (see page 34).
– If you don't want to heat the rooms
and don't require DHW for an exten-
ded period, select the operating pro-
gram "Standby mode" (see
page 22).
■ Never set the DHW cylinder tempera-
ture too high (see page 34).
■ Only activate the DHW circulation
pump for times when DHW is drawn off
regularly. Set the time program for this
(see page 38).
For additional energy saving functions of
the heat pump control unit, please con-
tact your heating contractor.
