3.1.17. MAC Learning
Select "Basic Config" and "Forwarding Database" and then "MAC Learning" to open
the screen shown in Figure 3-17. On this screen, you can configure the MAC Learn-
ing settings for each port.
Screen Description
Port Number
Displays the port number.
MAC Learning
Displays the MAC Learning statuses of ports.
"Auto" is the factory default setting.

Note:
When IEEE802.1X port-based authentication is activated, MAC Learning can-
not be disabled.

The MAC address is automatically learned, and the packet trans-
mission is executed.
Auto-learning of MAC address is disabled, and packet transmis-
sion is not executed unless the MAC address is registered stati-
cally.
