DO NOT install an isolation valve in-line with the PRV to Drain line. The discharge pipe
for the pressure relief valve must be orientated to prevent scalding of attendants.
Pipe pressure relief valve discharge pipe close to the floor – follow the requirements
of the local and national codes. Never pipe discharge to the outdoors.
This product must be installed by a licensed and experienced trade person who is
familiar with local and national codes.
Exposing this product to pressures and temperatures in excess of those listed in this
manual will result in damage, and will render product warranty null and void.
IMPORTANT – A tempering valve may be required in the hot water system. This
valve will reduce point of discharge temperature by mixing cold and hot water in
branch supply lines. Such valves are available from the local plumbing supplier.
Consult and follow the requirements of local codes and authorities.
