VENTING TERMINATION OPTIONS:

Notes:
1. Above termination options may be substituted with an approved vent kit listed in the table.
2. Flashings and storm collars are field supplied. Flashings and storm collars suitable for B-vent
materials (or better) may be used. It is the responsibility of the installer to include flashings and
seal penetrations for the venting system. For more information, contact your vent material
manufacturer / supplier. Follow the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
3. Seal all vent terminations properly using flashing and caulking to prevent water leakage from
penetrating the structure.
4. Seal & cap old vacant chimney(s) if installing in retro-fit application.
5. Position the Flue Gas Outlet piping so that it cannot cause accidental damage to nearby objects,
people or pets.
6. Point all discharge fittings away from roof pitch or exterior wall.
7. The lowest point of the venting (either Flue Gas Outlet or Combustion Air Inlet) cannot be less than
12" (305mm) above the local annual snow level. Consult your local weather office for typical
snowfall of the local region.
8. Terminations are designed to penetrate any standard exterior wall thickness.
9. Follow local codes to ensure vent system properly penetrates through floors, ceiling and roof.
10. The entire vent system must be securely supported by a system suitable for the weight and design
of the venting materials used. Contact the vent material manufacturer / supplier for more
information specific to your installation.
11. The clearance requirements listed in this manual supersede the instructions included from the vent
material manufacturer.
