Mandatory Venting Pre-Fire Procedure - Gradient syncFURNACE mOD-200 Installation & Operation Manual

MANDATORY VENTING PRE-FIRE PROCEDURE:

WARNING
This procedure is required for IPEX venting materials that are assembled using solvents and cements.
Once the venting system has been fully assembled follow these steps:
1. With the main power to syncFURNACE OD turned off, ensure venting system assembly is complete
and securely mounted in place. If possible, allow cemented joints to cure for 8 hours (hrs) before
firing the burner.
If venting system cure time is greater than 2 hrs, but less than 8 hrs continue on to step 2 -
2. Ensure gas-line supply valve to syncFURNACE OD is in the OFF position.
3. Removed the spark igniter cable from the right side igniter on the front of the heat exchanger.
4. Turn syncFURNACE OD main power to ON position.
5. Turn ON a heat demand to initiate burner firing.
6. Allow for 3 complete trials of ignition, including pre-purge & post-purge cycles of the combustion
blower until lock-out occurs.
7. Turn main power OFF then back ON to reset the heat demand.
8. Repeat this cycle 5 times for a total of 15 ignition cycles.
9. Once 15 cycles are complete, turn OFF heat demand and main power.
10. Re-attach igniter cable to the igniter.

Do not apply power to syncFURNACE OD prior to performing the mandatory
venting pre-fire procedure for plastic venting.
Maintain a safe distance from the direct spark igniter cable after it is removed
from the spark igniter. Place in a location so it cannot pre-mature ground to
cabinet or chassis during venting pre-fire sparking cycles.
