● When these products are used in the presence of combustible dust, any glands, conduit
entry devices or blanking elements fitted to the equipment shall be suitable for use in the
presence of combustible dusts and certified as such by a notified body; the installation of
these devices shall not compromise the IP6X rating of the equipment enclosure.
● Unused cable entries shall be fitted with blanking elements that can only be removed with
the aid of a tool.
● For applications that use the purge facility, the user shall provide a means to ensure that
combustible dust from the hazardous area cannot enter the purge supply in such a way as
to compromise the area classification.
● When these products are installed in the Category 3 G according to certificates
09ATEX4155X and 09ATEX4156X, the end user must ensure that the explosion protection
and ingress protection of IP65 is maintained at each entry to the enclosure by use of a
blanking element or cable entry device that meets the requirements of the protection
concepts type 'n' or increased safety 'e' or flameproof 'd'.

The following instructions apply to equipment covered by certificate number Sira
11ATEX2348X, Sira 07ATEX9256X, Sira 09ATEX4155X and Sira 09ATEX4156.
1. For use and assembly, refer to the main instructions.
2. The equipment is certified for use as category 1GD, 1/2D, 2D equipment per Sira
11ATEX2348X; Category 1D, 1/2D, 2D equipment per Sira 07ATEX9256X; and Category
3G equipment per Sira 09ATEX4155X and Sira 09ATEX4156.
3. The equipment may be used with flammable gases and vapors with apparatus group IIC, IIB
and IIA and temperature classes T1, T2, T3 and T4.
4. The equipment has a degree of ingress protection of IP67 and a temperature class of T100
°C and may be used with flammable dusts.
5. The equipment is certified for use in an ambient temperature range of –40 °C to +80 °C.
6. The equipment has not been assessed as a safety related device (as referred to by Directive
2014/34/EU, clause 1.5).
7. Installation and inspection of this equipment shall be carried out by suitably trained
personnel in accordance with the applicable code of practice (EN 60079-14 and EN
60079-17 in Europe).
8. The equipment contains no user-replaceable parts and is not intended to be repaired by the
user. Repair of the equipment is to be carried out by the manufacturer, or their approved
agents, in accordance with the applicable code of practice.
