Repair Instructions

9.10 Replacing the keypad

NOTE!
The circuits in the keypad are very sensitive
and therefore always replace a dismantled
keypad with a new one!
The keypad need only be replaced if the diag-
nosis or troubleshooting indicates there is a
fault or when replacing the control handle.

Dismantle the operating handle.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".

Disconnect the contact from the keypad.
Carefully loosen the keypad from the trimmer.
NB! The keypad on trimmer LiL is mounted on
a removable panel.
See figure 21

Clean/degrease the surface where the keypad is
mounted.

Make sure the temperature is at least 15°C and the
surface where the keypad is mounted differs no
more than ± 3°C from the ambient temperature.

Remove the protective tape from the new keypad
and press it onto the trimmer. Press on the panel
with 10 N/cm
for at least 10 seconds.

NB! Do not bend the keypad when assembling.

Connect the contact.

Assemble the operating handle.
Refer to "Basic dismantle/assembly".
